Before we get into part 2 of my interview with Coach Tim, please take a moment to reflect on the six interconnected life areas we discussed in part 1: career, relationships, finances, health, lifestyle and personal development.
Had they gone in the directions you want? They don’t always sync, so it’s inevitable that some might’ve gone forward, some sideways, and some unfortunately backwards.
In the chaotic world that we’re in, and the short-term gains that always look more palatable, would having a holistic coach help? I can’t answer that for you, but I hope that listening to both parts of my chat with Coach Tim will help.

I want to share 3 of my top learnings from this chat, from a small business viewpoint:
If you’re a small business, hiring a coach can be viewed as an investment rather than a support: Many entrepreneurs often juggle many roles because of being small, and coaching provides a structured space for goals, accountability, and the space to make informed business decisions.
Owner-operators often need to face challenges from different angles while taking consistent action on all fronts. This is when you have a mindset and goals that align, you’really help you through, as Tim describes the train and track. If you feel that you’re off-centre, it may be time to get some support or invest in coaching.
Many go onto the path in their own business or project because the leadership of their experiences as employees didn’t give them that connection or satisfaction. This is why being authentic and making decisions you can stand by (even when outcomes are uncertain didn’t help the people you work with get the connection or career satisfaction they didn’t get from their previous employer)
Where would you like to go? It’s truly up to you, but I hope that, even if you’re not in a position to hire support or coaching, you take a moment for yourself to think and process where you want to go and the next steps.
