Chatting with an artist like Hayden really reminded me of my past life in the Arts, and I’m so glad to have him on the pod to talk about his journey and creative process.

We’re unpacking everything from his beautiful track “Water Dance” to how we can set healthy creative boundaries. Because let’s face it, trying to project a flawless ideal is exhausting, but you can stay true to your ability and do the best that you can.

Art or business, we can all learn from each other, and here are a couple of things I learned this time:

Hayden’s journey never had a “this is it” moment; he tried different things, had honest self-reflection, and adjusted over time.

Inspiration often comes when you’re not trying to “produce.” He shared that he doesn’t always write at the piano; for some reason, it reminded me of myself, how I often leave a draft overnight and come back the next morning to edit/rework it. I didn’t know writing music could be so similar.
