Episode 12, #GetChatty About Your Local Businesses, Series 2025

I visited Jane from Umbrella Family Law and tested the idea of a one-shot pod centred on storytelling and reaction to the world we’re in. We recorded an organic conversation for about 30 minutes (ok, the recording was almost an hour, but who’s counting?). We covered topics including 2025 updates in pet custody, responded to lawyer representations in the media, and discussed some upcoming public events to raise awareness of non-adversarial aspects of family law.

Jane and her team contribute regularly to their blog, umbrellafamilylaw.com.au/insights. If you’re curious, I have a couple of starting points for you, as we talked about before: It’s not about making trouble; it’s about finding where one stands, or couples finding the best possible scenario moving forward. (and based on their experience, some couples actually see their relationship improved after working with an objective third party)
