For a bit of a refresher, here’s the video Badi and I did a few years back:
And we sat down a few months ago and checked in with him!

Badi is an excellent example of someone in our community who takes charge of their lives and has built a sustainable business and a good team and network around him. One of my takeaways from this interview is that if you have a team to represent you, you need to find a good personality match who is happy to and agrees to adopt your style at work because, ultimately, you, the business owner, are responsible for the clients and to make sure that your style and way of working translates to the clients through your team. Clear communication and a solid process. It’s very important.
In the early years of the business, work-life balance may fall short. So networking is a good way to build the business and develop friendships and respectable connections. Thru that, you create meaningful connections, which can become people that open doors to further connections or referrals. But the emphasis on the word meaningful – make an effort to interact, touch base for a coffee or share a piece of news that they may find useful – it’s always better not to make people feel you’re only there when you want something.
I am so happy for him for what he has achieved so far and many more to come.
